Hooray and a toast for whoever voted for THE FOG. On the other hand, major glares of death and 'shaky-fist' at whoever went along with ROSEMARY'S OVERRATED FUCKING BABY, THE MOST BORING GODDAMN MOVIE EVER MADE.

Now that's a list. I think my list was more my favourites than what is the best. Cause god damn is my top ten full of questionable choices. You can find my top ten thanks to the link below. Please don't hurt me.

I like it. A couple of mine are in the top ten, including The Fog. Great idea and I love the simplicity of the way it was compiled. Kudos!

Argh, I don't see the Grudge on there. I thought the American version (and I've seen the Japanese version too) was a good ghost story.
The Others, I totally agree should be up there. Brilliant English ghost story!
I think Rosemary's Baby is overrated, but maybe it was scary to people when it first came out.
Last the Exorcist freaks me the Fk out, but that's because I'm Catholic... That stuff is real!! :)

Cool list. I think 3 of mine made it in, so I'm happy. :D And 1 was an honorable mention.

When I first jotted down my list, I had at least 20 movies, and most of those are definitely on this list. Since it was all about favorites, I had to ax The Shining, The Haunting, and Poltergeist. All of those films are great, but just not my personal favs.

I completely forgot about The Devil's Backbone...I absolutely love that movie and probably would have taken something else out of my top ten for it. Oh well.

I can't wait for the next list!

The Exorcist, Suspiria, Rosemary's Baby and The Haunting made the Top 10. I think that's almost perfect. It's weird that The Fog made it but Halloween did not. Not wrong, just weird...

I think that's a damn solid list! Disappointed 'Black Sunday' didn't make the cut, but I do see a few of my picks here...and I can't believe I didn't think to include THE SHINING!

That is a great list... Although, I have no idea how Poltergeist or The Changeling slipped my mind while I was filling out my top 10, those are two of my favorites!

Can't argue with The Shining...I need to watch it just to get scared shitless again.

What I find most interesting about this list is that it most accurately reflects what I would imagine we would see in a list provided by any accredited magazine or major online news site even though it was generated in the most organic way we could think of. It just goes to show that even with the limitless possibilities that qualify for this specific topic, these films are truly the lasting supernatural efforts that have had the most profound effect on the viewer. That they would fall into this order out of all of the possibilities says a lot for the films!

Great list, although my faves of those mentioned The Devil's Backbone and A Tale of Two Sisters didn't make the cut :(

Dang it,I dragged my feet in submitting my list. I'm also bummed to have not seen A Tale of Two Sisters make the cut. I've never liked the Fog. Totally boring. Overall, great list!

One thing that never occured to me before assembling that list was that I seem to equate supernatural with ghost movies. And it looks like I'm not alone.
